The screech of the guitar that opened the show was a real contrast with the extra feminine, stunning pieces from the Felder Felder collection for S/S13
Although I understand why the band sang the ever famous 60's song: 'All Day and All of the Night' by The Kinks. The models quite subtly had a 60's feel to them- their hair very simple, long and ultra straight. Their makeup- just a flick of black eye liner and mascara.
The Felder Felder brand has been known in the past for their elegant yet striking use of pattern, todays show showcased one subtle pattern- leopard print and when I say this I don't mean Scary Spice leopard print, I'm talking a gorgeous, feminine soft print, with a neutral colour palette of frothy creams and pale caramels, all on a base of sheer fabrics, just gorgeous and so feminine. Another beautiful colour seen was a gorgeous ruby blue green, shots of this against the neutral palette really worked very well.
The key shapes in the collection differed from elegant warrior lengths to short and sweet hemlines, coming from the waist, creating this fab silhouette. There was lots of layering but in terms of sheer fabrics onto sheer fabrics creating a different tone of the same colour within one look. I loved the high neck, loose fitting sleeveless tops, I can see these easily coming onto the high street. A staple of the collection was the trouser suit- short in leg length, sheer blouse tucked in, the blouse with a very low, very wide v- neck, and a light jacket pulled together with some really amazing heels.
The collection was ultra feminine, beautiful, the fabrics weightless and gorgeous and the music was fab!
