Rag & Bone SS13

You could really see an Olympics inspired collection for SS13 from the designers David Neville and Marcus Wainwright, for Rag & Bone. The designers collaborated with the brand Oakley for this show. Oakley is a sport and lifestyle brand, 'driven to ignite the imagnation through the fusion of art and science'. It is a brand that manufactures innovative, high performance products and one that is a keen helper to the avid athlete.

The collection had a true sports theme running throughout, quite an obvious sports theme shone through, in terms of the garments themselves, the colours of the collection and the accessories shown. The colours ranged from the purist white, marl grey, corn flower blue, to the brightest hi-vis green and orange: my favourite being the mix of corn flower blue with grey marl, very fresh for spring. The functionality shown within the garments and the loose fitting clothing excels this theme. I loved the layering: the layering of weightless clothing is key in the sporting world. The motif of the show was one of adventure, only helped by the shots of safarhi khakis and the fab short sleeved jackets.
